Protectas Aviation Security AG was founded on 1 January 2005. With more than 300 employees, we offer security services in the general aviation environment and more specifically in airport security.

Our security staff
The employees of Protectas Aviation Security AG make a significant contribution to safety at our Swiss airports through their daily work at security checkpoints and their extensive expertise and know-how.
Our employees are first subject to a background check and must be trained, approved, certified and recertified every two years in accordance with the requirements of the responsible authority, the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA).
In line with our high standards, our employees undergo annual security checks and our managers receive regular training on key subjects such as competition law, antitrust, corruption and ethical principles.
Man combined with technology
One of our employees' main tasks is to use the technical equipment and tools available, such as X-ray machines and explosive trace detection, to prevent prohibited items from entering the non-public area of the airport.
All our work steps and associated control methods comply with the applicable EU regulations, the National Aviation Security Programme (NASP) of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and the airport operators' derived process instructions.

Our two national airports are regarded as Switzerland's gateway hubs to the world, at the heart of Europe, and are well connected internationally, nationally and regionally. Both airports regularly win awards for their outstanding services, short transfer distances, friendly staff, clean infrastructure, reliable processes and other quality features.
In 2019, around 50 million people left, arrived or transferred here, making airports the most important meeting place in their region.
Behind this success are thousands of employees at more than 200 partner airports, working every day to ensure that every stay is a positive experience for passengers and visitors.
